About Promotion days for GMV Max

Promotion days is an optimization feature in GMV Max that helps sellers maximize sales during peak shopping periods. When enabled, Promotion Days automatically adjusts ROI goals and budgets so your campaigns can capture more traffic and drive higher GMV.
Note: Your promotional ROI goal is based on the lower of your recent average ROI over 7 non-promotional days or your entered ROI .

  • Boost your GMV: Capture incremental GMV during mega sales like Double Days, Paydays, and seasonal campaigns. Promotion Days helps sellers unlock higher profits by balancing ROI targets with sales lift.
  • Automate campaign adjustments: Once turned on, campaigns automatically adjust ROI goals and budgets during promotion days. No need to manually update campaigns when traffic surges.
  • Flexible setup: Default calendar covers key shopping festivals, but you can also customize dates and ROI targets. It works across both Live and Product GMV Max campaigns.

Best practices of Promotion days for GMV Max

  • Turn it on early: Enable Promotion days at least 3–5 days before the event so the system can learn and optimize in advance.
  • Set realistic ROI goals: Enter ROI targets that reflect your real campaign performance. The system will anchor to recent ROI trends, so inflated goals won’t help.
  • Ensure enough budget: Promotion days automatically increase budgets (default +50%). Make sure your budget is high enough to capture additional traffic.
  • Refresh creatives: Upload new videos or live assets before the event. Fresh creatives help improve performance and prevent fatigue during high-traffic days.

How Promotion days works

  1. You can toggle on the Promotion days while creating LIVE GMV Max campaign or Product GMV Max campaign in Seller Center.
  2. It will automatically prioritize maximizing GMV and capturing incremental GMV whenever opportunities arise during common shopping seasons.
  3. Under Promotion days, hover on Schedule to edit the schedule or click See details to check the season details. It is also easy to Add custom dates.
  4. You can also customize the Promotion days target ROI or Promotion days budget.
    • During promotions, the system lowers your ROI goal by 10%, 20%, or 30%.
You can also use 1-click apply to apply promotion to your existing campaigns.
