Warehouse Setup & Configuration
Add a Warehouse
Most sellers can set up to 20 pickup warehouse addresses, while eligible whitelisted sellers can set up to 80. Sellers can also have multiple return warehouse addresses. Follow these steps to set up a new pickup or return warehouse:
Set Default warehouse
The default warehouse is the pickup warehouse automatically assigned to a product when it is created. Upon selection of the shop's default warehouse, a tag will appear below the warehouse name.
Enable Holiday Mode
When enabled, Holiday Mode sets the selected warehouse's inventory to 0 for the specified time period.
Deactivate a Pickup Warehouse
If you no longer use a pickup warehouse, you can deactivate it in
Seller Center > Logistics > Warehouses.
You can deactivate a pickup warehouse only when your shop has
more than one active pickup warehouse. If your shop has only one active pickup warehouse, the
Deactivate button will be disabled. This helps ensure that your shop always has at least one active pickup warehouse available for fulfillment.
Once a pickup warehouse is deactivated:
- The warehouse can no longer be used for order fulfillment.
- Products and inventory linked to this warehouse may become unavailable for sale.
- The deactivated warehouse will no longer appear in related Seller Center pages, such as product management, inventory management, product creation or editing, and other warehouse-related pages.
- This action cannot be directly restored after confirmation.
What happens when I click Deactivate?
When you click
Deactivate, the system will first check whether the pickup warehouse can be deactivated.
- The warehouse is not linked to any products. You can choose:
- Cancel: Keep the warehouse active.
- Deactivate: Confirm and deactivate the warehouse.
After you confirm, the warehouse status will change to
Deactivated. Once deactivated, it cannot be restored.
- The warehouse still has products or available inventory
If the warehouse is still linked to products or has SKUs with available inventory, it cannot be deactivated right away. Please remove the SKUs from this warehouse before deactivating it.
To continue, click
View products to go to the product or inventory page, then remove the related SKUs from this warehouse. After the SKUs are removed, you can return to the warehouse page and try deactivating the warehouse again. Please note that after a pickup warehouse is deactivated, any inventory in that warehouse will no longer be sellable.
If the system shows that products are still linked to this warehouse, follow these steps:
If an Amazon MCF warehouse is deactivated by the platform, the warehouse can no longer be used for fulfillment. Products linked to this warehouse will be automatically unlinked, and the inventory quantity in the deactivated warehouse will be cleared to 0. When managing product inventory, the deactivated warehouse may appear as Unavailable, with a message such as “Warehouse is unavailable.” Please select another active warehouse and update the stock quantity if you want the product to remain available for sale.
When an MCF warehouse is deactivated:
Delete a Return Warehouse
For US sellers, you may delete a return warehouse if it is no longer needed.
To delete a return warehouse:
- Go to Seller Center > Logistics > Warehouses > Return warehouse
- Click Delete next to the return warehouse you want to remove.
If your shop only has one return warehouse left, the
Delete button will be hidden. This helps ensure your shop always has at least one return warehouse available.
Edit Warehouse Shipping Option
Sellers can configure shipping options for each warehouse and maintain the corresponding shipping templates as needed. When adding a new warehouse, if no shipping option is selected, TikTok Shipping will be set as the default.
- Go to Logistics>Shipping
- Select warehouse and set its preferred shipping services by clicking "Switch Option".
If you turn on "Seller Shipping", please click "Manage shipping fee template" of this warehouse.
Each of the warehouses that have been switched to "Seller Shipping" will show its own related shipping template.
If you want to know more details about shipping options and shipping template, please refer to "
Shipping option Setting" in the
US Seller Academy
Product-Warehouse Mapping & Inventory Management
Product-warehouse mapping refers to linking each SKU to the warehouses it can ship from, enabling the platform to identify which locations can fulfill a given product. Inventory management refers to maintaining accurate stock levels at each warehouse.
- Inaccurate delivery promises: If a product ships from a warehouse not listed in Seller Center, the platform cannot calculate the real distance to the buyer. This may lead to inaccurate promise delivery time shown to buyers , which can lower shopper trust and reduce conversion.
- Lost 3-Day Delivery badge coverage: The 3-day delivery badge is assigned based on available stock from the nearest warehouse to the shopper and that warehouse's historical delivery performance. If warehouse information is wrong or inventory is outdated, orders that meet the required standard may not be identified as eligible for badge display. This may result in missed badge visibility opportunities on orders that would otherwise qualify, limiting the 3-day shipping badge reach across relevant regions. The updated 3-Day Delivery page now provides additional insights. Click here to learn more about the 3-Day Shipping Badge
- Ensure product-warehouse mapping is updated
- For any product that can ship from multiple warehouses, ensure every available pickup warehouse is listed under that product in Seller Center.
- This tells the platform all the locations you can fulfill from, enabling it to pick the nearest warehouse to the shopper.
- Keep inventory quantities accurate and up to date
- Make sure the stock levels at each warehouse reflect reality.
- The platform relies on inventory data to determine which warehouses have stock available. For example, if a warehouse shows 0 inventory, it will not be considered for fulfillment even if it is the closest option.
How to execute:- If you use an ERP system: We recommend liaising directly with your ERP provider to set up automated data syncing with TikTok Shop. This ensures your product-warehouse mappings and stock levels are always up to date without manual intervention.
- If you manage via Seller Center: The platform supports both single-product editing and bulk editing of product-warehouse mapping and inventory. Refer to Edit Product Listing in the US Seller Academy for detailed guidance.
