【US-Mexico】Manage Product - Sync Product to MX

Manage Product

Summary

1. How can sellers effectively manage and sync their products from the US store to the Mexico TikTok Shop?

  • Sellers can manage products by searching, editing, deleting, copying, deactivating, and adjusting price/stock individually or in batches on the Manage Product page. Syncing to Mexico involves enabling the “To Sync” switch, reviewing auto-translated content, completing Mexico-specific info (price, stock, warehouse), and confirming for approval.
  • Syncing can be done individually via the product edit page or in bulk using the Batch Tool, with options to select products, download a template, fill required info, and upload it. Edits in the US store can later be selectively synced to Mexico to keep listings updated.

2. What are the key product eligibility criteria and restrictions for syncing products to the Mexico market on TikTok Shop?

  • Products must belong to categories open and approved for sale in Mexico; categories not supported or invite-only without approval cannot be synced. The system disables syncing and shows messages explaining restrictions.
  • Products must comply with TikTok Shop’s prohibited and restricted product guidelines, and sellers must complete Mexico-specific mandatory fields like pricing, inventory, and logistics before syncing.

3. What product information is automatically synced and what requires manual review or completion when listing products in the Mexico store?

  • Text-based fields such as product title, description, attributes, sales attributes, and compliance-related texts are auto-translated and synced. A translation disclaimer is shown for seller reference.
  • Sellers must manually review translations and complete Mexico-specific details including category confirmation, retail price in MXN, stock allocation, warehouse selection, and shipping settings to ensure accuracy and compliance.

4. How does TikTok Shop classify product statuses and what actions can sellers take for each status?

  • Products are categorized into statuses like All, Live (visible and purchasable), Deactivated (offline), Suspended (failed compliance or frozen), Draft (not submitted), Deleted, Synched (enabled in Mexico), and Not Synched (US only).
  • Sellers can edit, deactivate, copy, change price/stock, delete, activate, or recover products depending on their status. Suspended frozen products cannot be modified or resubmitted, while failed products can be corrected and resubmitted.

5. What are the implications for sellers regarding inventory and product visibility limits on TikTok Shop?

  • Inventory is shared between US and Mexico stores; stock allocated to Mexico reduces US availability. Sellers must carefully manage quantities to avoid overselling.
  • There is no limit on the number of active products uploaded, but only up to 1000 products can be displayed on the store’s Showcase section, impacting product visibility to customers.
