This policy outlines the requirements sellers must meet to sell restricted products on our platform. These requirements are in place to ensure product safety, legal compliance, and a trustworthy experience for customers.

Restricted Products

To sell restricted products, sellers must meet certain qualification requirements. There are 3 levels:

• Category-Level Qualification: Sellers must submit documentation to sell within a category of products. After passing the process in the Qualification Center portal (located in Seller Center), sellers can list any products within that category.
• Product-Level Qualification: Sellers must provide documentation for each product they want to sell within a particular category.
• Invite-Only Qualification: Select qualified sellers are invited to sell certain categories and can apply for access through the Qualification Center.

TikTok Shop reserves the right to request additional documentation during the product approval process.

Requirements for Restricted Products

Category-Level Qualification

The following types of products require category-level qualification. Select a product type below to view the applicable qualification requirements.

The remaining categories require product-level qualification. Sellers who do not meet the requirements listed below are prohibited from listing those restricted products on TikTok Shop.

  • Soldering guns/irons
  • Children's vitamins and supplements
• Designated Kids' Sports Gear: Kids' bikes, cycling child seats, and kids' helmets
• Electric Bikes and Scooters

Invite-Only Qualification

The following are only permitted on TikTok Shop through an invite-only process.

• Baby Diapering Products
• Breaks (for example, live events where sellers open sealed collectible products for customers)
• Collectibles: Antiques, Coins, and Currency
• Dietary Supplements
• Fresh and Frozen Packaged Food Products
• Health Monitors and High-Risk Medical Devices
• Lucky Scoops (for example, games of chance where customers purchase a 'scoop' of items)
• Over-the-Counter Medications
• Pre-Owned Products: Luxury Apparel, Fine Jewelry, and Luxury Watches
• Sexual Wellness Products
• Smart Earphones and Headphones
• Virtual Goods

Enforcement Actions and Appeals

We regularly review shops for compliance with our policies. If violations are identified, enforcement actions may be applied. This may include, but is not limited to:

• Deducting points from your Account Health Rating (a metric that measures your performance against our seller policies)
• Removing product listings
• Revoking access to offer products for sale
• Issuing refunds to customers
