How to Apply for Special Approval for Special Products (such as products containing batteries, hazardous chemicals, or oversized items)

  1. Battery-powered / magnetized hazardous goods (Class 9) and flammable liquids (Class 3)
Sellers must submit the MSDS and hazardous material information during goods creation for system review. Email approval is not required. Inventory may be shipped to the warehouse only after system approval is granted.
  1. These products must still go through offline email approval. Please contact your FBT Account Manager (AM) to submit the required information for approval.
  2. Oversized products are not allowed to enter FBT warehouses.

How to Accurately Maintain Product Weight and Dimensions

After inbound, sellers must accurately maintain the product dimensions and weight (including logistics packaging) in Seller Center, as well as the dimensions and weight in the FBT system.
Dimensions / Weight InformationHow to Accurately Maintain Dimensions / Weight InformationSystem Screenshot Example
The product dimensions and weight (including logistics packaging) maintained in Seller Center are not used for seller–buyer billing. However, if the dimensions or weight are incorrect, the product may become unsellable on the storefront. If the dimensions or weight maintained on the product listing are overestimated (e.g., chargeable weight exceeds 50 lbs), customers may be unable to place orders.
  1. Sellers should reasonably estimate the product dimensions and weight including logistics packaging, and maintain them in:
Seller Center → Product → Shipping → Weight & Dimensions.
image
The dimensions and weight in the FBT system are used as the basis for calculating Fulfillment Fees, HUB Placement Fees, and storage fees for inventory aged over 60 days. After inbound is completed, FBT will provide the warehouse-measured dimensions and weight. Sellers are required to review and verify the data in a timely manner to ensure consistency with warehouse measurements.
  1. In the FBT system, click the goods name to view the warehouse-returned dimensions and weight.
  2. If there is a discrepancy between the seller-entered data and the warehouse measurements, click Edit Goods on the right to update the information so it matches the warehouse results.
  3. If there are questions about the warehouse-measured dimensions or weight, submit a ticket to request a re-measurement via:
Contact us → FBT Goods Management → General Goods Questions and Issues.
