How to manage your Auto-post carousels

AI Summary

Auto-post photo library gives eligible sellers a new Seller Center view to review, filter, and remove the photos TikTok uses for auto-posted Shoppable Carousels in shoppers’ FYP, without posting to the seller’s profile. It’s for sellers with Shoppable Carousel auto-post enabled; use Content Hub → Shoppable Carousels to inspect photos by product, delete unwanted photos or groups, adjust authorization, and add replacements via AI photo maker or Post Photo on TikTok.

Product overview

Your Auto-post photo library is your home in Seller Center for the photos TikTok Shop uses to build your auto-posted Shoppable Carousels. See every photo behind your carousels, review them by product, and remove any you'd rather not run so TikTok can keep matching your products to the right shoppers. This feature is not available to all sellers. Benefits:
  • See what shoppers are shown: Open your library to review every photo TikTok uses in your auto-posted carousels, by product, instead of guessing what auto-post is drawing on.
  • Curate for a stronger match: Delete a single photo or a whole photo group if you'd rather not run it, and add a quick reason so future photos improve.
  • Let TikTok do the matching: TikTok uses your inventory to assemble carousels that aim to match shopper interests, helping your catalog reach potential shoppers more effectively.
  • Reach shoppers without posting to your profile: Your carousels reach shoppers in their FYP.
  • Add more photos when you want to: From the same page, jump into AI photo maker or Post Photo on TikTok if you want to create new photos or publish a carousel yourself.

How it works

  1. Open Shoppable Carousels from Content Hub. A new Shoppable Carousels entry appears in Content Hub. Clicking it opens your Auto-post photo library.
  2. Browse your photos by product. The product list shows every product with active carousel photos, sorted by most recent update. Each row shows the product photo, title, product ID, how many active photos it has, the latest photo date, and thumbnails of photos added in the last 3 days.
  3. Find a product. Search by product ID to jump to a specific product. Click View to open that product's photos.
  4. Review the photos for a product. Each one shows whether it is a single photo or a photo group (2 to 10 photos), where it came from (AI photo, enhanced photo, or original photo), and labels like New (added in the last 3 days) or Expire soon (within 7 days of expiring). Filter by type and source, and sort by date added or date expiring.
  5. Remove what you'd rather not run. Hover a photo to reveal a delete button, or open it for a full preview. You can delete a single photo (photo groups only, and only if more than 2 photos remain), delete a whole photo group, and add an optional reason so future photos improve. Once removed, that photo no longer reaches shoppers.
  6. Edit your authorization anytime. Use the settings entry to reopen the auto-post authorization popup. Content types you turn off stop showing in your library and stop reaching shoppers.
  7. Add more photos when you need to. From the self-post toolkit, jump into AI photo maker to generate new photos or use Post Photo on TikTok to publish a carousel manually.

Tips

  • Use the delete reason to teach the system, not just to clean up. The optional reason feeds back into generation quality. Picking the closest preset, such as product appearance or spatial proportion issues, is more useful than skipping it.
  • Keep photo groups as real groups. If a photo group has only two photos left, single-photo deletion is blocked so the group stays a group. To remove one more, delete the whole group instead.
  • Sort by expiring soon to keep coverage high. Carousel photos have a distribution window. Sort by date expiring to spot products about to run thin, and use the self-post toolkit to add new photos before that happens.
  • Turn on all eligible content types when it makes sense. More content types mean more raw material for auto-post to work with, which tends to help reach.

FAQs

QuestionAnswer
Who is this for?Sellers who have Shoppable Carousel auto-post on and want to see and shape the photos TikTok is using. If you rely on auto-post to reach shoppers, this is where you check what's running and curate it.
Do these carousels post to my TikTok profile? No. Your carousels reach shoppers in their FYPs. They do not post to your own profile.
What happens when I delete a photo or photo group? The deleted photo or group stops reaching shoppers. Deletions are one-way for now: once removed, that photo does not come back, though new photos can be generated to replace it.
Why can I not delete a single photo from a small photo group?A photo group needs at least 2 photos to stay a group. If a group is down to 2 photos and you want to remove one more, delete the whole group instead.
Can I upload my own photos directly into the library? Not from the library itself. To add new photos, use AI photo maker or Post Photo on TikTok from the self-post toolkit on the same page.
