Select content types
Depending on your account access, you can choose from several content types across photos and videos. If you have access to Shoppable Photos, you can select from the four types below. If not, the system focuses on AI-generated videos.Content type | What it does |
| 🖼️ Product detail photos | Posts shoppable images directly from your existing product listing pages. |

| 🖼️ AI-generated photos | Turns your product photos into new scenes with varied backgrounds and creative elements. |
| 🎥 AI-generated videos | Turns products into shoppable videos using leading AIGC video technology. |
Select preview time
Preview time controls how long a post stays in preview before Auto-post publishes it. This applies to both photo and video auto-posts.- Choose your window: Pick from posting right away up to a 7-day review window. The options are Post now, 1-day preview, 2-day preview, 3-day preview, and 7-day preview.
- What it means: For any option other than Post now, the system reserves at least the number of days you select for preview, then publishes automatically during local daytime hours. Post now sends content out as soon as it is generated.
- Change it anytime: You can update preview time whenever you want. Changes apply to new content generated starting the next day, so content already scheduled keeps its original publish time.

Choose which TikTok account you want to use for your auto-posts. You can learn more about Official accounts and Marketing accounts on TikTok Shop Academy.Part III: Manage Auto-posts

If you take no action before the scheduled time, the system publishes the content automatically. You can delete a published post anytime to stop it from reaching more shoppers.

Tips
- Match preview time to how closely you review content. If you like to check posts before they go live, choose a longer window such as 2-day or 3-day preview. If you trust the output and want content live sooner, choose Post now or a 1-day preview.
- Keep your inventory up to date. Auto-post only generates content for products that are Live and in stock, and healthy product listings can lead to more posts.
- Use both photos and videos. Selecting more content types gives shoppers different ways to discover the same product.
- Check back after setup. Your first posts take 2 to 3 days to generate, so give the system time before reviewing your schedule.
- Adjust as you go. You can change content types, accounts, and preview time anytime, and the changes take effect for content generated the next day.
