Overview

A seller can link their TikTok Shop to a TikTok creator account, forming a creator bind. A creator bind offers certain benefits to both parties. For sellers, this includes the ability to sell products through bound creator accounts in video, livestreams, and Store Pages or showcase. For creators, bound accounts can go live without a minimum follower requirement.

Types of Creator Binds

Official Creator Binds:

An official creator bind is reserved for the official TikTok creator account associated with a TikTok Shop seller account.

• The creator account must have the same name as the corresponding shop account.
• Products are displayed through the Store Page and can be sold via videos, livestreams, or directly on the Store Page.
• Products in Seller Center can be automatically synced to the Store Page.
• Official creators do not have access to the Affiliate Product Marketplace.
• Affiliate creators who become official creators retain access to withdraw commissions previously earned as affiliates.

Note: Official shop creators will lose their e-commerce permissions if their bound shop is deactivated. Once the shop’s deactivation is revoked, the creator’s permissions will be automatically restored.

Marketing Creator Binds

A marketing creator bind is a way to link additional creator accounts to your TikTok Shop. Products are displayed through the Store Page, and can be sold through video, live, or showcase. The name of the creator account does not need to match the TikTok Shop name.
If marketing creators need access to the TikTok Shop Product Marketplace, they must:

• Have a minimum of 5,000 followers and submit a request for access.

Creator Bind Limits

Creators with individual shops under the probation program are limited to bind to only:

• 1 official account creator bind

Creators with business shops under the probation program are limited to bind to only:

• 1 official account creator bind
• 1 marketing creator bind

The creator bind limit for sellers who have passed the probation program and do not have any severe violations, both individual and business, is currently:

• 1 official creator bind
• 4 marketing creator binds

Unbinding Criteria

• After linking to an official or marketing account, the seller must wait 24 hours before they can unbind.
• The seller can:
  • Unbind from an official account account up to 3 times
  • Unbind from a marketing account up to 10 times within 180 days
• A seller cannot unbind from a creator who has Creator Health Rating of 150 points or lower, or if the creator has received recent severe violations.

Ensure that your creator account meets all eligibility requirements as stated in the TikTok Shop Creator Eligibility Policy, namely:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must not be a Government, Politician, or Political Party Account (GPPPA) as defined in this article
• Must comply with our TikTok Shop Content Policy, TikTok Community Guidelines, Creator Code of Conduct, and all other TikTok Shop policies
• Must be based in the United States
• Must pass the Creator Identity Verification process
• Must have no prior record of having e-commerce permissions revoked by TikTok Shop, or being associated with accounts that have had e-commerce permissions revoked by TikTok Shop
