How to Choose Your Creator Vertical

Creator vertical is a new way to help you grow on TikTok Shop with more direction.
By choosing a vertical that matches your content and selling focus, you can unlock a more personalized experience in Creator Center. That includes vertical-relevant featured products, content inspiration, campaigns, and a more guided way to work toward becoming a Pro creator.
Right now, you can choose from 6 verticals:

How it works

1. Choose the vertical that best fits you!

If you have not selected a vertical yet, you can choose one in Creator Center.
You may also see a recommended vertical based on your past content and performance. If a recommendation appears, you can use it or choose a different vertical yourself.

2. Explore your vertical page

Once you choose a vertical, you can visit your vertical page in Creator Center to:

• manage your selected vertical
• see how your videos and GMV are distributed across categories
• discover products related to your vertical
• browse vertical-relevant inspiration videos
• explore vertical-related campaigns

3. Discover more relevant products and inspiration

Once you select a vertical, parts of your Creator Center experience will become more tailored to that vertical.
When browsing products in the Product Marketplace, you may be guided toward categories related to your selected vertical to help you find more relevant products faster.
When you tap to explore more inspiration from your vertical page, the Inspiration Center will default to showing videos related to your selected vertical, so it’s easier to discover ideas that match your content focus.

4. Grow toward Pro

Your vertical can help you understand what strong performance looks like and what to work toward next.
You can also view your progress toward Pro throughout the month. At the beginning of each month, we recalculate your status based on whether you met all Pro requirements in your selected vertical during the previous assessment period. If you qualify, your Pro status is usually updated and displayed within the first 1 to 2 days of the month.

5. Change your vertical anytime

You can change your selected vertical at any time.
Just keep in mind that if you already have Pro status, changing your vertical will reset it and your eligibility will be recalculated based on your new vertical.

No. If we show a recommended vertical, it is there to help, but the final choice is always yours.

Yes. You can change your vertical whenever you want.

4. What happens if I change my vertical after becoming Pro?

If you change your vertical after earning Pro, your Pro status will reset. We will then recalculate your progress based on your new vertical.

5. What do I get after choosing a vertical?

After choosing a vertical, you will get access to a more personalized experience in Creator Center, including vertical-relevant products, inspiration, campaigns, and progress verticaling.

6. What is Pro?

Pro is a recognition status for creators who meet the current requirements in their selected vertical. In the Creator Center, you can view the latest Pro requirements and see your progress toward meeting them.

7. When will Pro show up?

Pro is calculated at the beginning of each month and is usually updated within 1 to 2 days.

8. Who can see my Pro badge?

For now, you can see your own Pro badge and choose to save or share it. Public visibility is planned for a future update.
