Grow as a Spotlight Creator: a limited program that rewards rising creators with extra views, TikTok bonuses, and sample benefits. Note: this replaces the the Rising Star program that some creators may be familiar with.

How It Works

Curious about how you can become a Spotlight Creator and what happens next? Here’s a step-by-step look at the journey.

1. Meet the qualifications. This program is only available to creators with a Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum badge. In addition, we check for a few things:
   1. Active Followers: You need more than 1,000 active followers. This is a special count of your engaged audience, which might be different from the follower number on your profile.
   2. Content Quality: In the last 30 days, you must have created at least two "good quality" videos and achieved a 20% "good quality" video rate.
   3. Risk Factors: Your account is also reviewed for other risk factors to ensure a safe and positive community experience.
   4. For the most up-to-date qualification standards, tap on Spotlight Creator from the Creator Center tab
2. No additional application needed: If you meet the qualifications, your Spotlight Creator benefits start at the beginning of the month. Keep in mind we look at your current active follower count and your content performance the month prior. When in the program, you'll see a shiny new Spotlight Creator badge in Creator Center. This badge and your benefits usually appear within the first two to three days of the month.
   1. If you don't meet the qualifications, you can still review the potential benefits of the program and the necessary qualifications from the Spotlight Creator entrypoint on the main Creator Center page. Focus on creating great content and you might enter the program the next month.
3. Take advantage of your Spotlight Creator benefits: the Spotlight Creator page will have all the information on traffic, commission, and sample opportunities that you should take advantage of. You'll also be able to see how your current follower count and content qualify may impact your status in the program the next month.
   1. Not all benefits will be immediately available. Perks like commission boosts, discount vouchers, and sample vouchers usually become available within the first week of the month. Once they are, you'll be able to find and use them from the Featured Product section (within the Spotlight Creator experience).
4. Grow as a Creator: Keep creating amazing content, and you'll continue to enjoy the benefits! If you grow beyond the Ruby level, you'll graduate from the Spotlight Creator program. Remember, the Spotlight Creator program is designed to help creators develop until they reach the Ruby stage, helping set you up for the next chapter in your creator journey.

• Focus on quality, not just quantity. The program specifically rewards "good" and "high quality" videos. Instead of posting many times a day, focus on creating a few standout videos that truly resonate with your audience and showcase products in an authentic way.

• Check for your benefits at the start of the month. Remember that some perks, like commission boosts and vouchers, may not be immediately available. If you don't see them on day one, check back in a few days. They should appear on the Featured Product page within the first week.
• Don't be discouraged if you don't qualify right away. Eligibility is reviewed monthly. Use the criteria as a goal! Focus on improving your content and growing your engaged follower base, and you might be selected in the next round.

• What does extra views mean? As a Spotlight Creator, your videos get priority exposure to a wider audience. This helps you earn more views, reach new fans, and grow faster. You will also see how much traffic you've gotten compared to other creators at this level.
• What are the requirements to be a Spotlight Creator? The program is for creators between the Bronze and Ruby levels. To be considered, you must have more than 1,000 active followers and, in the last 30 days, have produced at least 2 good quality videos with a 20% good quality video rate. • How do I check my active follower count? Active followers are different from the total follower count you see on your profile. To see your current active follower count, visit the Spotlight Creator page in the app.
• I just reached 1,000 active followers. When will I be invited to the Spotlight Creator program? Creators are accepted into the program at the beginning of each month based on their performance during the prior month. If you are accepted, you will see a Spotlight Creator badge appear in your Creator Center, usually within the first two days of the month.
• Can I be in this program and other creator programs at the same time? Yes! The Spotlight Creator program is stackable, meaning you can be a part of other programs (like those from the Creator Community or the Creator Pilot Program) at the same time.
• What happens if I grow past the Ruby level? Congratulations on your growth! The Spotlight Creator program is designed to incubate a certain level of creators. If you grow past the Ruby badge, you will graduate from the program, allowing us to support the next wave of rising creators. If this happens before the month is over, you'll continue to enjoy your Spotlight benefits until the end of the month.
