Refundable Sample at Checkout Page

Creators can now turn an eligible self-purchase into a Refundable Sample order directly on the checkout page. If the product qualifies, you'll see a Refundable Sample toggle during checkout so when you were already going to "Buy Now", you can choose the path that help you post, drive sales and get refunded.

How it works

1. Check out like normal

• Tap Buy Now on a product you want.
• On the checkout page, if the item qualifies, you’ll see a Refundable Sample toggle.

2. Turn it on to make your order refundable

• Toggle it ON to place a Refundable Sample order instead of a regular self-purchase.
• You’ll see a quick summary of the deal (ex: Make X sales → get $XX back, plus extra commission per sale).

3. Keep it to one item

• Refundable Sample only works when your checkout is:
  • one product
  • quantity = 1
  • Product hasn't been purchased with Refundable Sample before
• If you change quantity to 2+, the toggle will turn off and you won’t be able to enable it.

4. Post after it delivers to earn the refund

• After the item arrives, post content and drive X sales.
• Once you hit the requirement, your refund is processed automatically based on the Refundable Sample rules.

5. Need details? Tap “Learn More”

• Tap the text under the toggle to open the explanation page with:
  • the refund goal (X sales)
  • the refund amount ($XX)
  • extra commission per sale

Tips

• If you were going to buy anyway, check the toggle first. If it’s eligible, turning it on can convert your purchase into a refund opportunity.
• Keep quantity at 1 if you want Refundable Sample. If you increase quantity above 1, the toggle will be off and unavailable.
• Treat it like a mini goal: Post after delivery and include clear CTAs to reach X sales sooner.
• Know the limits: You can only place one Refundable Sample order per product (PID), and you need available quota.

FAQs

1. Why don’t I see the Refundable Sample toggle on every checkout?

It only shows when your order is eligible: single product, qty = 1, the product supports Refundable Sample, you haven’t ordered Refundable Sample for this product before, and you have quota remaining.

2. What happens if I turn the toggle ON vs OFF?

ON = your order is placed as a Refundable Sample (eligible for refund if you meet the requirements shown). OFF = it stays a normal self-purchase.

3. Why does the toggle turn off when I change quantity to 2+?

Refundable Sample only works for qty = 1 right now. If quantity is >1, the toggle is off and disabled.

4. Do I still pay at checkout? When do I get refunded?

Yes, you pay normally at checkout. If you post after delivery and hit the required X sales, your $XX refund is processed automatically based on Refundable Sample rules.

5. What if I don’t post or don’t reach X sales?

Then the refund won’t trigger. Refundable Sample refunds require posting + meeting the sales goal.

6. Can I use Refundable Sample more than once for the same product?

Not currently. It’s one Refundable Sample order per product (PID).
