Buyer-initiated Refund-only Request
When a buyer requests a refund, the seller has the option to accept or reject this request within the Seller Center.
- If the refund request is accepted, TikTok Shop will execute the Patch/Order API, updating the c_externalReturnStatus to 'REFUNDED'.
- If the refund request is rejected, the order status in TikTok Shop remains unchanged. The buyer then has the option to initiate a dispute.

Buyer-initiated Return-for-Refund
For a return-for-refund request, the seller in the Seller Center may either accept or reject the buyer's refund request.
- Upon acceptance, TikTok Shop provides a shipping label for the buyer to return the package.
- Once the return package is received and approved, the buyer is issued a refund. TikTok Shop will update the order's return status to 'REFUNDED' through the Patch/Order API.

- If the return package is rejected, the buyer has the opportunity to initiate a dispute.

Buyer-initiated Return-for-Refund Rejection
Similar to the refund-only request, when a buyer requests a return for a refund, the seller has the discretion to accept or reject the request.
- If the return request is rejected, the buyer is given the option to initiate a dispute, challenging the seller's decision.
