Affiliate Creator Product Selection

This policy outlines how eligibility to promote certain products is based on your Creator Health Rating (CHR), Promotion Performance Score (PPS), Creator's track record of sales and your ongoing ability to create high-quality content.
Creators who do not meet the criteria may face restrictions in accordance with platform policies and other standards designed to protect our community. By enforcing these guidelines, we aim to uphold high promotion quality, ensure compliance, and create a better overall experience for both creators and buyers.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a commission-based partnership between sellers and creators who promote their products. Here’s what it offers:
  • Sellers can invite creators to promote eligible products on their behalf, these are known as “affiliate products.”
  • Creators can browse and choose affiliate products from specific sellers to promote and earn commissions.
  • TikTok Shop may also recommend a seller’s affiliate products to creators for potential promotion.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why can’t I add this product to my showcase, video, or livestreams?
Your ability to promote certain products is determined by your Creator Health Rating (CHR), Promotion Performance Score (PPS), track record of sales, and your ongoing ability to create high-quality content, depending on the product category.
If your scores fall below the required thresholds, you may face restrictions when promoting these products. These standards are in place to help maintain quality and compliance with TikTok Shop. We encourage you to improve your PPS and maintain a strong compliance record to access more product promotion opportunities.
Where do I find my Promotion Performance Score?
To learn more about Promotion Performance Score, refer to the following guide: Promotion Performance Score
What does it mean when I receive a message after trying to add a product to my showcase, livestreams, or video anchor?
The message indicates that you’re currently not eligible to promote products in this category. This may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
  • Your Promotion Performance Score (PPS) is below 3.5
  • Your Creator Health Rating (CHR) is below 150
  • Your recent track record of sales, and
  • Your ongoing ability to create high-quality content.
As a result, your attempt to add and promote the product was rejected. We recommend reviewing your account health for more details and selecting a product from a different category to promote.
When do we reassess a creator’s eligibility once their PPS score becomes available?
Eligibility is reassessed in real time. Each time a creator selects a product, the system triggers an instant verification. Once the PPS score is available, the next time the creator selects a product in a designated category, eligibility will be evaluated based on the updated PPS score.
Is there a minimum number of orders within a specific timeframe required to generate a PPS score?
Yes. Creators must meet a minimum order requirement. For detailed criteria, please refer to the information in this article : Guide to Promotion Performance Score
If a creator’s PPS score later drops below the threshold, will they lose access to promote products they were previously approved for?
No. Since this is a real-time verification strategy, it does not affect historical actions. Once a creator has successfully selected and anchored a product, their ability to continue promoting that specific product will not be impacted, even if their PPS score becomes ineligible afterward.
Is there a grace period or notification before access is restricted?
No. There is no grace period or notification process for access changes.
