LIVE Flash Sale

Summary

What are the key updates to the discount stacking rules for TikTok Shop’s LIVE Flash Sales starting March 18?

  • LIVE Flash Sale and Creator LIVE Flash Sale discounts can now be stacked with platform product incentives, with the flash sale discount applied first, followed by the platform incentive deduction for the final user price.
  • This upgrade enhances promotional flexibility, allowing sellers and creators to offer deeper combined discounts during livestreams.

How does the LIVE Flash Deal promotion tool work and what benefits does it offer to sellers during livestreams?

  • LIVE Flash Deal is a seller-funded, limited-time promotion with a countdown timer that creates urgency, encouraging immediate purchases by offering exclusive, high-discount deals only available during livestreams.
  • Benefits include boosting sales, engaging and retaining audiences with pre-launch countdowns, and rewarding viewers with exclusive livestream-only deals.

What are the step-by-step instructions for sellers to create and manage a LIVE Flash Sale in TikTok Shop’s LIVE Manager?

  • Sellers log into LIVE Manager, access the Flash Sale tab, select products from their LIVE shopping bag, choose SKUs, and set deal prices and purchase limits either manually or via batch edits.
  • They configure sale start times (pre-LIVE manual/scheduled or during LIVE immediate/manual), set countdown timers (10–300 seconds), and sale durations (1–20 minutes), then create and publish the Flash Sale.

What important considerations or limitations should sellers be aware of when setting up LIVE Flash Sales?

  • Deal prices must be within allowed ranges or errors occur; total purchase limits must be set if deal prices are entered; stock depletion outside LIVE Flash Sale channels can invalidate the sale’s eligibility.
  • Products with active or scheduled Flash Sales remain visible in the Flash Sale tab even after the sale ends, which may affect product selection during setup.

Rule Update

Starting March 18, the platform will upgrade the discount stacking rules for livestream flash sales:
  • Upgraded Rule: Both LIVE Flash Sale and Creator LIVE Flash Sale now support stacking with the platform product incentive.
  • Calculation Logic: The final price for users will be calculated sequentially: the flash sale discount is deducted first, followed by the platform product incentive deduction.

What is LIVE Flash Deal?

LIVE Flash Deal is a seller-funded promotion tool that allows sellers to create limited-time deals with a countdown timer to create a sense of urgency and encourage immediate purchases. Customers can enjoy LIVE Flash Deal by adding the product to cart and purchasing the product from the seller's or creator's livestream channel.
