A. FBT Shopper Free Shipping Policy - Starting June 16, 2025

Starting June 16th, FBT will remove the $30 free shipping threshold for all FBT shipped products. All products shipped via FBT will qualify for free shipping by default.

Enhance visibility: FBT-fulfilled products are automatically enrolled in the TikTok Shop Free Shipping Program, improving product exposure across Shop Tab and 'For You' page.

B. Opting Out of FBT Free Shipping Policy - Starting June 16, 2025

By default, all units fulfilled through TikTok Shop’s FBT service are eligible for free shipping with no minimum order value. To support sellers with lower-margin products, TikTok Shop offers an opt-out option:

When a seller opts out:

A $30 free shipping threshold will apply to the opted-out units.
Shoppers will pay a flat $5.99 shipping fee when purchasing opted-out units for orders under $30.
Sellers will continue to be charged the standard FBT fulfillment fee per unit.
TikTok Shop will provide a $0.75 reimbursement per unit to sellers for orders that do not qualify for free shipping.

Important Notes:

Products opted out of no-threshold free shipping may see reduced sales performance, as TikTok Shop shoppers strongly prefer free shipping. Sellers are encouraged to carefully evaluate product margins versus the potential impact on conversion rates before opting out.

For products opted out of no-threshold free shipping, the $30 threshold and the $5.99 shopper paid shipping fee are fixed. TikTok receives the $5.99 shipping fee paid by the shopper.
The $0.75 per-unit reimbursement applies only to:
- Orders where the shopper pays for shipping (i.e., the total order value is under $30).
- Orders that are not creator sample orders or replacement orders.

C. FBT Fulfillment Fee - New update (Effective July 13)

FBT fulfillment fees include pick, pack, packaging, and last-mile shipping to the shopper. Fees are charged on a per-unit basis.

Expanding fulfillment rate card to support 50 lb to 150 lb - New update (Effective July 13, 2026)

Effective July 13, we are expanding our fulfillment rate card to support Heavy Bulky Fulfillment with new weight tiers for items weighing more than 50 lbs and up to 150 lbs. Fulfillment fees for items weighing between 4 oz and 50 lbs remain unchanged.
Sellers can now fulfill eligible items larger than 26 up to 108 inches or weighing more than 50 lbs up to 150 lbs - product dimensions and weights that were previously not supported. Refer to this article for more info on Heavy Bulky Service.

Fulfillment Fee Reduction (16lb to 50lb) - (Effective May 20, 2026)

Effective May 20, 2026, we will reduce FBT fulfillment fees for single-unit items across weight tiers from 16lb to 50lb. Updated rates will be $0.10 to $5 per unit lower than current fulfillment fees across these weight tiers, helping sellers reduce fulfillment costs for large and heavy items within these weight bands (refer to table 1 for rate card).
- Additionally, the multi-unit price for weight tiers from 20+lb to 50lb will see a decrease ranging from $3.5 to $5 per unit in-line with the reduction in the single unit fees for those tiers.
- Note: sellers enrolled in Ships in Own Container (SIOC) can receive an incremental fulfillment fee discount of up to $0.80 per single-unit item. Refer to Section H for SIOC eligibility requirements and program details.

Multi-Unit Fulfillment Fee Increase (5lb to 20lb) - (Effective June 18, 2026)

To better align fulfillment fees with fulfillment handling costs, effective June 18, 2026, we will increase the per-unit fulfillment fees for multi-unit orders (2, 3, and 4+ unit orders) in the 5lb to 20lb weight tiers. The increase will range between $0.10 to $3.00 per unit, depending on item weight tier and number of units per order.

Multi-unit Pricing Update: (Effective January 12, 2026)

Effective January 12, 2026, we are further reducing multi-unit fulfillment fees from the same seller in one checkout for orders with 2, 3, and 4+ items in the 0–4 lbs weight tiers. The updated rates are up to 24% lower for affected tiers. Single-unit fulfillment fees remain unchanged.

Shipping Weight Calculation: Updated Chargeable Weight Rules Effective May 1, 2026, for less or equal 2lb products

Effective May 1, 2026, If a unit’s actual weight is less than or equal to 2lb and its volume (Length × Width × Height) is less than or equal to 332 in³, shipping charges will be based solely on the actual unit weight¹. (Refer to FAQ 19 for more info)
If either threshold is exceeded², the chargeable weight* is the greater of actual unit weight or dimensional weight. Dimensional weight is calculated using the formula: Length × Width × Height ÷ 166 (in inches)

We remain committed to helping you manage overall costs, so storage fees for inventory held for the first 60 days will remain free.
Effective Dec, 15, we’re further reducing storage fees for inventory stored up to 270 days, offering discounts ranging from 14% to 43% with no timebound end date.
Storage fees for inventory stored beyond 270 days will remain unchanged, without an expiry date.
Additionally, we’ve made our storage tiers more granular between 91 and 270 days. This helps you manage your storage costs more efficiently.

E. FBT Hub Placement Fee (Optional)

To improve operational efficiency, promote compliance, and align with market standards, TikTok Shop will implement the following updates to its Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) service starting Aug 1 2025.

Sellers may choose to route inventory through designated Hubs or ship directly to Fulfillment Centers (FCs). Pricing varies by routing option.

Hub Routing (Optional): Sellers can choose to inbound inventory via TikTok Shop’s East or West Hubs. Placement fees will vary based on the selected Hub and shipment details.
Direct-to-FC Shipping (No Fee): Inventory shipped directly to FBT Fulfillment Centers will not incur a hub placement fee, provided sellers fully comply with TikTok Shop’s routing and allocation requirements. Failure to comply may result in Inbound Incident Fees.

Shipping Weight Calculation:

If a unit’s actual weight is less than or equal to 1 lb and its volume (Length × Width × Height) is less than or equal to 166 in³, shipping charges will be based solely on the actual unit weight.
If either threshold is exceeded, the chargeable weight is the greater of actual unit weight or dimensional weight. Dimensional weight is calculated using the formula: Length × Width × Height ÷ 166 (in inches)

Inbound Booking Non-Compliance Fee

Scheduling an inbound delivery appointment and ensuring your freight shipments arrive on time are essential for a smooth inbound experience and fast processing. Refer to the [Booking Policy] for more details.

Inbound Routing Non-Compliance Fee

Compliance with FBT inbound requirements is mandatory. Inbound shipments that significantly deviate from the submitted shipment plan, including incorrect delivery location, overages, shortages, or failure to meet arrival timelines, will incur a Routing non-compliance fee. These fees are in addition to any applicable Hub Placement Fees and are designed to offset the increased operational costs of inventory repositioning and handling.

Customer Returns Rate Card - New Rate Card (Effective June 1, 2026)

Starting June 1, 2026, to make FBT return-handling costs more transparent and predictable, the previous flat "Customer Returns Handling Fee" of $3.00 per order is being replaced by itemized per-unit fees as outlined below. The return fees will be assessed based on the type of service you select in your setting and the final disposition of your returned product. Refer to FBT customer return guide for more info on how to set-up different return options and for different fees calculation scenarios.

New Customer Returns Rate Card Processing Fees - Starting June 1, 2026

Disposal Fees: If the final disposition of your customer returned product is disposal, disposal fees will apply.
Return to Merchant Fee for customer returns: If you select "Return to Seller" in the return settings, the Return-to-Merchant fee will be calculated after the order is packed, based on the weight and dimensions of the returned package from FBT to the seller’s warehouse. Refer to FBT customer return guide for more info.

Note: FBT Customer Returns created before June 1 may still be processed under the old return rate card, even if they were processed after June 1, 2026.

Exit Inventory and Disposal Value-Add Service Fee

*If seller choose FBT to handle shipments exit inventory shipment returns using FBT's freight carrier, a fee of $0.39 per lb applies for freight shipments. If you choose parcel shipping method, shipping fee will be determined based on the weight and dimensions of the returned package from FBT to the seller’s warehouse. Refer to Exit Inventory guide for more info. If seller arrange for pick-up using their own carrier, they will not incur shipping fees.

New FBT Value-Add Service Fees Update - New Update (Effective May 15, 2026)

H. FBT Ship In Original Container (SIOC) Discount - New SIOC Discount (Effective May 15, 2026)

To support sellers who use their own packaging, FBT offers the Ship In Original Container (SIOC) discount for sellers using their own compliant packaging.

Effective May 15, 2026, the SIOC discount will increase by an additional $0.06–$0.70 across weight tiers from 4 oz to 50 lb compared to previous discount levels
New Update- (Effective July 13, 2026)
- Effective July 13, 2026, longest SIOC side eligibility extends from below 26 inches to below 32 inches.
- For products with chargeable weights above 50 lbs or items above >32 inches, no SIOC discount will apply.
SIOC discount applies only to single unit orders and does not apply to multi-unit orders or Heavy Bulky products that ship in multiple packages.
Sellers must meet FBT’s packaging standards and complete the SIOC certification process to be eligible.

Are samples shipped through FBT charged differently than regular shopper orders?

No, sample orders fulfilled through FBT under the Affiliate Program are charged the standard per-unit FBT fulfillment fee, the same as regular shopper orders. These orders are not eligible for the $0.75 per-item reimbursement for products opted out of no-threshold free shipping.

How does multi-unit fulfillment fee pricing apply?

Multi-unit pricing applies to orders that include two or more units fulfilled by FBT from the same seller in one checkout. This includes scenarios such as:

A shopper purchases a virtual bundle (e.g., two or more separate SKUs grouped together).

Important Notes:

How will I be charged for bundled products when I use FBT to ship them?

The way fulfillment fees are charged for bundled products in FBT depends on whether the bundle is classified as a virtual bundle or a physical bundle:

A virtual bundle refers to a group of products sold together as a package deal but not physically packaged together prior to storage and shipping. Each unit in the bundle is treated as a separate unit during fulfillment and requires a separate pick by our warehouse team.
A physical bundle refers to products that are combined and packaged as a single unit before storage and shipping. These products are physically prepackaged together, requiring only a single pick by our warehouse team.

Charges for bundled products:

Virtual bundles: These qualify for the multi-unit fulfillment fee, as each unit is fulfilled separately. Virtual bundles generally cost more to fulfill compared to a single physical bundle, depending on the weight and dimensions of the units.
Physical bundles: These qualify for the single-unit fulfillment fee, as the entire bundle is treated as a single unit. If multiple physical bundles are purchased within a single order, the order will qualify for the multi-unit fulfillment fee.

Note: Ensure all physical bundles are assembled/pre-packed prior to arrival at FBT, as FBT currently does not offer kitting services.

Are there additional charges for orders shipped to Alaska or Hawaii?

There are no additional surcharges for orders shipped to Alaska or Hawaii. The fulfillment fees listed above apply equally to orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, and the contiguous United States.

FBT Storage Fee

For storage cost discount between Sep 1st 2025 and Jan 31st 2025, how will I receive the benefits?

All updates on Sep 1st on storage (including 60 days of free storage, and time-bound discounted storage), will be applied automatically. No action is required from you.

For existing inbound orders already en route to two FBT hubs:

Shipments received on or after June 6 will be charged based on the new hub placement fee rate card (West Coast rates).
Shipments received before June 6 will continue to follow the previous hub placement fee structure and rate card.

How much flexibility do sellers have when inbounding to FBT?

FBT provides sellers with flexible options for inbound shipments to optimize cost and convenience. This flexible structure lets sellers choose the best option for their business, optimizing for cost and efficiency while maintaining compliance. Sellers can choose from the following options:

For sellers using the FBT shopper return service, an additional return handling fee of $3 per order will apply.

What is the Outbound Exit Inventory — Missed Appointment/No Show Fee?

When submitting an Exit Inventory (Return to Merchant) request, sellers can choose a removal method: Small Parcel or Freight (LTL/FTL). If Freight is selected, sellers are required to schedule an outbound pickup appointment with each applicable warehouse to ensure a smooth handover process.
