US FBT Palletized Receiving Operations Manual
02/05/2026
Summary
What is palletized receiving and how does it differ from carton-level receiving on TikTok Shop?
- Palletized receiving means goods are delivered and transferred as whole pallets without breaking them into individual cartons, speeding up handling by scanning pallets once instead of scanning each carton. Loose carton delivery is not supported.
What are the key benefits of using palletized receiving for sellers?
- It reduces handling time at the warehouse by eliminating carton-level scanning, requiring only pallet labels on all four sides, which streamlines transshipment and speeds up inventory allocation.
How can sellers opt out of palletized receiving and continue using carton-label receiving if needed?
- During Confirm Shipment, sellers can select [Third party packing and shipping] and enter the freight forwarder or overseas warehouse name to bypass palletized receiving and use carton-label receiving instead.
What are the main steps and requirements for creating an inbound order using palletized receiving?
- Sellers must create an inbound order with a pallet template specifying cartons per pallet, ensure pallet and carton counts match exactly, select pallet shipment type (FTL/LTL), print and affix four pallet labels per pallet, and adhere to pallet size/weight limits (48×40×72 inches, max 1500 lbs).
What are the critical labeling and palletization requirements sellers must follow for palletized receiving?
- Pallet labels must be downloaded from the FBT system (third-party labels not allowed), affixed on all four sides, minimum size 10×15 cm, and pallet numbers on labels must match carton labels on all cartons on the pallet; double-stacked pallets are not supported.
Palletized receiving refers to a process where, after goods are delivered to the Hub, pallets are not broken down into individual cartons for transshipment. Instead, goods are transferred by pallet unit directly to the Fulfillment Center (FC) for put away.
Palletized receiving is a warehouse handling method for inbound goods. Goods that are selected for palletized receiving must be palletized and delivered to the warehouse via truckload (FTL/LTL). If the goods do not meet the palletized receiving requirements or if the seller chooses carton-level receiving, shipments that are delivered by truck still must be palletized. Loose carton delivery is not supported.Part 2: Why Use Palletized Receiving?Answer:
- When preparing goods for palletized receiving, sellers only need to affix pallet labels on all four sides of each pallet; carton labels are no longer required.
- It helps reduce transshipment handling time after goods arrive at the Hub. Since the warehouse no longer needs to break down pallets and scan cartons individually for allocation, the warehouse can complete allocation by scanning once at the pallet level, thereby shortening the transshipment time before goods are sent to the FC for putaway.
If palletizing is handled by a freight forwarder or overseas warehouse and accurate palletization details cannot be provided, or if the seller wants to skip the palletized receiving process and continue using carton-label receiving, this can be done during Confirm Shipment. When filling in pallet information, select [Third party packing and shipping], and enter the name of the overseas warehouse or freight forwarder to bypass the palletized receiving flow.
Part 4: What Is the Inbound Order Operation Process for Palletized Receiving?
| Steps | Description | Diagram |
| Create IBR (Inbound Order) – Add Goods – Manually Select Pallet Template to Trigger Palletized Receiving | When adding goods, manually select a pallet template to prepare inventory and enable palletized receiving. This phase supports custom pallet specifications at the product level. For products with standard pallet configurations, once the pallet template is maintained, subsequent replenishments can be simplified, and inventory allocation will be handled at the pallet level.Create Pallet Template:
