Plus, if you see something trending that matches something you already have in your catalog, you can also match your products against popular keywords, hashtags, subcategories, and products to gain more views and sales!Product opportunities offers four ways to discover what's trending:
- Popular keywords: Allows you to find highly-searched keywords on TikTok that you can use to improve SEO or inspire your next video.
- Popular hashtags: Allows you to find popular hashtags used in trending videos or that have high sales volume to add to your new and existing content.
- Popular subcategories: Allows you to discover popular subcategories on TikTok that customers are searching for to inspire your next product idea.
- Popular products: Allows you to discover popular products from online marketplaces that have low inventory or are under-supplied on TikTok Shop to highlight areas where you can take advantage of high customer demand.

Steps
How to access Product Opportunities
Log into Seller Center, click Products on the left-hand navigation bar, and select Product Opportunities.
View trending keywords, hashtags, subcategories, and products
Use the top navigation to explore different types of trends that can help you decide what products to focus on from your existing catalog, or give you inspiration for what you should stock next!Example 1: Top searched keywords

To start this process, tap the Add products button under the Action column for a relevant keyword. This brings up the Opportunity details screen. Here, you'll see Product matching criteria to advise you on what keywords to add to your product title and description, and Opportunity trends to see how user interest in the keyword has grown over time.
If you have a product in your catalog that is relevant to this keyword, tap Select products at the bottom of the page. In Step 1, select all relevant products and tap Next. In Step 2, add the keywords directly to your product title. We would also recommend adding the keywords to your product description. Once you are done, click Submit.
By including trending keywords in your titles and descriptions, and submitting your products for the highlighted opportunity, you will increase your product relevance when users search or browse related products. You can also think outside the box and use these insights to inform your content strategy, including keywords to highlight in your shoppable videos or hashtags to add to video descriptions.



Example 2: Popular products

If you do have an existing product that matches one of the highlighted products, you can similarly submit this product to increase your product relevance. Tap Add products under the opportunity and check the details under Product matching criteria. It is very important that your product matches the category and shows the exact same product in the product images.
Once you're ready, tap Select products and choose the matching product in your catalog. Tap Submit once finished. After you submit, our system will check to ensure your products match the opportunity.

View submission status and earned rewards
After submitting your products, you can check the status by clicking Your submissions in the top dashboard.


Sign up for auto-match
If you love the Product Opportunities tool, you can also opt into Auto-match. This functionality will constantly scan your catalog for products that map to any of the listed opportunities (products, keywords, hashtags, subcategories) and automatically submit your products if the platform finds a match. You can also continue to submit products manually while Auto-match is on. Using Auto-match gives you the highest chance of earning more impressions across submitted products.
