This means more opportunities to create fresh content, connect with new products, and grow your audience:
- Discover new favorites: Get special discounts on product samples so you can explore more items to share with your community.
- Expand your content: Trying new products gives you a steady stream of fresh ideas for exciting short videos and LIVEs.
- Grow your viewership: More content featuring a wider variety of products can help you attract new followers.
How It Works
Ready to start saving? Here’s your step-by-step guide to finding, claiming, and using Sample Coupons.
Step 1: Find Your CouponsKeep an eye out for Sample Coupons in the TikTok Shop Creator Center. We’ll send them your way through pop-ups, banners, emails, and in-app notifications.
Step 2: Claim and View Your CouponsOn the landing page, tap the Claim Coupons button. Once you do, the button will change to My Coupons. You can tap this anytime to see all the coupons you’ve collected.
Step 3: Order Your Product SampleFound a product you love? Tap the product card and then hit Buy Now to place your order. You can only apply a coupon to a single order,
so make sure that you include all the products that you'd like to order with your sample coupon in one single order.
- Behind the scenes: When you complete your purchase using a Sample Coupon, the product is automatically added to your Product Showcase. This makes it instantly available for shoppers to buy and for you to link in your upcoming content.
Step 4: Create Your ContentOnce you receive your product, it's time to get creative! You have 14 days to promote the product in a short video or a LIVE. When you use a Sample Coupon, you're agreeing to create content for that product. Our system tracks this to ensure the partnership is fair for both you and the seller. You can easily track your obligations on the Sample Reminder page in your Creator Center.
- For a short video, it must stay public for at least 3 days. Don't forget to use the Add Link button to tag the product in your video!
- For a LIVE, it must run for at least 10 consecutive minutes.
Tips
- Order in one go: A Sample Coupon can only be applied to a single order. If you want to use one coupon for multiple products, make sure to add them all to your cart before you check out.
- Stay on track: Check the Sample Reminder banner in your Manage Showcase tool. It’s the easiest way to see which products are waiting for you to create content.
- Don't miss out: Always check your pop-ups, banners, and notifications in the Creator Center. You never know when a new coupon will drop!
FAQs
- Can I get a refund for a purchase made with a Sample Coupon? Yes, but how it works depends on the situation.
- For fully refunded items ordered using a sample coupon, the sample coupon will be returned to you for future use. Note: If the coupon expires before your refund is issued, you will not be able to use it again.
- For products ordered using a sample coupon that are only partially refunded, you will not receive the sample coupon back for future use.
- Sample coupons for shipping will not be returned during a refund if they were used to discount shipping costs in the original order.
- Are there any situations where I don’t have to create content for a sample? Yes. You are not required to create promotional content if the order is automatically canceled by our system. This can happen if:
- The seller's account is closed or banned.
- The product itself is banned by TikTok Shop.
- The product is removed from the affiliate program.
If this happens, you'll get a notification in Creator Center that starts with "Free sample fulfillment cancelled" and the product will disappear from your fulfillment list.
- What if the product is sold out or unavailable after I order it? If a product becomes unavailable (e.g., sold out, deactivated), your 14-day content creation requirement is paused. You can track this on the Sample Reminder page, where the product status will show as "fulfillment suspended."
- If the product is unavailable for a total of 10 days (they don't have to be consecutive), the sample order will be automatically canceled, and you won't need to do anything.
- How can I learn more about why a product's fulfillment is suspended? The best way is to ask the seller directly. You can use the Contact button in the app to send them a message.
