What are TikTok Shop Sample Coupons?

Sponsored by TikTok Shop, sample coupons reduce the cost of purchasing product samples by providing special discounts and deals to creators. You can find sample coupons for products and shipping costs in the TikTok Shop Creator Center through pop-ups, banners, emails and in-app notifications.
Note: When you use a sample coupon to purchase a product, you agree to promote that product through a short video or LIVE.

Where can I get sample coupons？

Sample coupons are offered through pop-ups and banners in the TikTok Shop Creator Center and are also sent through emails and in-app notifications. The ways by which you might find sample coupons are determined by the type of campaign and discounts involved, so make sure to check all your notifications.

You can claim your sample coupon(s) by tapping the Claim Coupons button on the page header. After you claim your sample coupon(s), the button text will change to My Coupons, which you can tap to see all of your coupons.

How do I order products using a sample coupon?

Once you claim a sample coupon and find a product you want to buy on the product selection page, tap the product card and then tap Buy Now to place your order. The product will be automatically added to your Product Showcase, ready for users to purchase and for you to link to your video and LIVE content.
Note that you can only apply a coupon to a single order, so make sure that you include all the products that you'd like to order with your sample coupon in one single order.

What are the requirements for using a sample coupon?

Step 1: Once you receive your product sample, you must post a promotional short video or LIVE for the product within 14 days.
Step 2: You can see the sample products you need to create promotional content for by tapping on the Sample Reminder banner in the Manage Showcase tool in the Creator Center. You will also receive notifications reminding you of any outstanding promotional obligations.
Step 3: From the Sample Reminder page, you can tap Shoot Video or Go LIVE to create content about your sample product.

• Short videos must remain online for at least 3 days and must be visible to the public.
• LIVE videos must run for at least 10 consecutive minutes.

For short videos, use the Add Link button to add the sample product to your video and fulfill the sample coupon requirement.

FAQs:

1. Can I request a refund for purchases made using a sample coupon?
   1. For sample coupons on products:
      • For fully refunded items ordered using a sample coupon, the sample coupon will be returned to you for future use. Note: If the coupon expires before your refund is issued, you will not be able to use it again.
      • For products ordered using a sample coupon that are only partially refunded, you will not receive the sample coupon back for future use.
   2. For sample coupons on shipping costs:
      • Sample coupons for shipping will not be returned during a refund if they were used to discount shipping costs in the original order.
2. Are there any situations in which I am exempt from fulfilling the sample coupon product promotion requirements?
   1. Once a seller has shipped your sample order, you are required to fulfill the sample product promotional requirements unless one of the following occurs:
      • The seller account is closed.
      • The seller is banned by TikTok Shop or the Affiliate Program.
      • TikTok Shop bans the product.
      • The open plan that the product was in is deleted.
   2. In any of the above situations, the fulfillment request will be automatically canceled in the system. You will receive the following notification and will no longer see the product in your fulfillment list:

3. If the sample product you ordered is deleted, deactivated, under review or sold out, the fulfillment requirement will be suspended until the product is available again. If a product is unavailable for more than 10 days cumulatively, the sample order will be canceled and no action will be required on your part.
   1. The 10-day guideline is the total number of days a product is unavailable and does not need to be consecutive. For example, if a sample product is unavailable on July 1st and becomes available on July 9th but is unavailable again from July 10th until July 13th, the order will be canceled.
4. For sample products that aren't available, you will receive a notification in your TikTok Shop Inbox (example shown below) informing you of the product's "fulfillment suspended" status.

5. You can see and track all products with a "fulfillment suspended" status on the Sample Reminder page in your Product Showcase.
