Kids' Fashion Products
The following Kids' Fashion Products are allowed to be sold on our platform through category qualification.Requirements To Sell Kids' Fashion Products
You may be required to pass category qualification to sell Kids' Fashion Products. This process requires submitting documents proving you are qualified to sell these products.Detailed requirements are listed in the sections below. Open each section to view what is needed.
Kids' fashion products encompass a range of clothing and accessories designed for children, from infants to pre-teenagers aged 12 years and younger. Example products include:- Kids' clothing: tops, bottoms, dresses, coats & jackets, underwear, socks
- Kids' swimwear
- Kids' footwear: sandals, slippers, shoes
- Kids' accessories: belts, earmuffs, gloves, scarves and shawls, watches, bowties
- Kids' bags: backpack, luggage
Document Requirements for Kids' Fashion Products
If you are a manufacturer, importer, or repacker, submit these documents:- Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
- Product tracking label
- Test report issued by a CPSC-accredited laboratory
- Children's Product Certificate (CPC)

Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
Manufacturers, importers, repackers, and resellers must submit the Children's Product Certificate (CPC) to verify that their product complies with U.S. consumer product safety standards. Refer to the CPSC’s page on Children’s Product Certificates for more information, including examples and tutorial videos.When submitting your CPC, make sure it is legible, free from alterations, and meets the following requirements:
- Include the manufacturer or importer's name and address.
- Issued within the last 365 days.
- Product details must match the product category and photos.
- Include a clear description of the tested product.
- Include the name and address of the CPSC-accredited laboratory.
- List all relevant safety standards tested.
- The CPC should be in English.
Product Tracking Label
Manufacturers, importers, repackers, and resellers must submit a clear and legible image of the tracking label. Refer to the CPSC’s page on Tracking Labels for more information, including examples and tutorial videos.The tracking label must be securely attached to both the product and its packaging and meet the following requirements:
- Manufacturer/importer or private labeler name
- Location and date of production
- Detailed information on the manufacturing process (e.g., batch number or run number) or other identifying characteristics
- Additional information that specifies the product's source
- Must be in English
Test Report issued by a CPSC-Accredited Laboratory
Manufacturers, importers, and repackers must submit a product test report issued by a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-accredited laboratory. Click here for a list of CPSC-approved laboratories.When submitting your test report, make sure it is legible, free from alterations, and meets the following requirements:
- Include the manufacturer or importer’s name and address.
- Issued by a CPSC-accredited laboratory.
- Issued within the last 365 days.
- Product details should match the product category and photos.
- Include a clear description of the tested product.
- Include the name and address of the CPSC-accredited laboratory.
- Clearly lists all safety standards tested with pass or fail results.
- The test report should be in English.
Product and Packaging Photos
Manufacturers, importers, repackers, and resellers must submit photos of product and packaging that meet the following requirements:- All packaging information must be visible, including any applicable product descriptions, warnings, and other relevant details.
- Directions for use (if applicable)
Purchase Invoice
Resellers must provide a purchase invoice to confirm the authenticity and source of their products. When submitting the purchase invoice, make sure it is legible, free from alterations, and meets the following requirements:- Include the supplier’s name and address
- Issued within the last 365 days.
- Product details and quantity must match what you are applying to sell.
- The purchase invoice should be in English.
Children's Helmets Requirements
Children helmets are classified as restricted products on TikTok Shop and require Category Qualification. These products require specific documentation to ensure they meet safety standards.Please see the table below for specific requirements based on children's helmet type and seller type:

Prohibited Products
The following kids' fashion products are prohibited from sale on TikTok Shop:- All beaded teethers, including beaded amber teething jewelry, as well as those made from materials like amber, wood, silicone, or other elements
Choking Hazard Warning Label ⚠️
Children’s products that meet the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) criteria for choking hazards must include a clear choking hazard warning label. TikTok Shop requires all sellers to:- Ensure the choking hazard warning is clearly displayed in the product listing.
- Include a compliant warning label on product packaging.
- Toys with small, detachable parts
- Puzzles with pieces smaller than 1.25 inches
- Jewelry or accessories intended for young children
- Art supplies such as beads or buttons
Products Requiring Choking Hazard Labels
Products with small parts that could pose a choking hazard to children under 3 years old must include a warning. Examples include:- Toys with small, detachable parts
- Puzzles with pieces smaller than 1.25 inches
- Jewelry or accessories for young children
- Art supplies like beads or buttons
Enforcement Actions and Appeals
We regularly review your shop’s compliance with this policy. If any violations are identified, TikTok Shop may take enforcement action at our sole discretion. This may include, but is not limited to:- Rejecting your category qualification application
- Deducting points from your account health
- Removing product listings
How to Submit Your Documentation
Submit your documentation via the Qualification Center in Seller Center. Click here or follow these steps:- Log into your Seller Center account.
- Click your shop icon in the top right corner.
- Go to My Account > Account Settings.
- Select Qualification Center.
- Click on Category Qualification.
- Click Add Category Authorization and follow the prompts to submit your application.

How To Address A Category Qualification Rejection
If your application is rejected, you’ll receive a message explaining the reason. Most rejections are due to missing documentation. Review this policy to make sure you’ve met all requirements.You can view your rejection message by:
- Clicking the bell icon at the top of your Seller Center homepage to go to your inbox
- Opening the rejected application in the Qualification Center.
- Go to the Qualification Center, then click Category Qualification.
- Click the rejected category to view the rejection reason.
- Review the related category policy to confirm what’s needed
- Update or replace your documentation to meet the category’s requirements.
- Click Resubmit to submit your revised application.
