This document outlines the requirements for selling Collectibles on TikTok Shop. Collectibles are also subject to our Restricted Products Policy and Gambling Policy. Sellers must comply with both this document and the Restricted Products Policy and Gambling Policy when listing collectibles.

Collectibles

A collectible is a unique or rare item with personal, historical, or cultural value.
When listing collectibles:
  • Include proof of authenticity.
  • Clearly describe the item’s condition.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information.
This helps customers make informed decisions and builds trust in your shop.
Examples of collectibles customers actively seek on TikTok Shop include:
  • Action Figures
  • Vintage Comics
  • Autographed Jerseys

Requirements to Sell Collectibles

Sellers who list collectibles must accurately describe the item’s condition. Sellers must also clearly disclose any defects, wear, or restorations in the product listing. In addition, sellers must meet the following requirements when listing collectibles on TikTok Shop.

Sports Memorabilia Collectibles (Collectible Condition)

Sellers listing collectible sports memorabilia must meet the following requirements.

Documentation Requirements for Collectible Sports Memorabilia

The following is required for collectible sports memorabilia:
  1. If the collectible sports memorabilia is autographed, sellers must provide a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or Letter of Authenticity (LOA). The COA or LOA must be issued by an approved authentication service. COAs must be from one of the following:
    • Beckett Authentication
    • Certified Authentication Services (CAS)
    • Fanatics Authentic
    • James Spence Authentication (JSA)
    • Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA)
    • PROVA Group
    • Sportscard Guaranty Corporation (SGC)
    • Sports Memorabilia
    • Steiner Sports
    • Tristar Productions
    • Upper Deck
  2. Clear images of the product
  3. If autographed, a clear image of the autograph and authentication sticker or label
If the product is marketed for children under 13 years of age:
  1. Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
  2. Test Report from a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) accredited laboratory
  3. Sample tracking label

Additional Requirements for Collectible Sports Books and Publications (New and Collectible Condition):

  1. ISBN, ISSN, JAN, or EAN (standard product identifiers)
  2. If no identifier is available, a COA or LOA from an approved authentication service or agency must be provided. If neither is available, the item cannot be sold.

Entertainment Collectibles (Collectible Condition)

Sellers listing entertainment collectibles must meet the following requirements.

Documentation Requirements for Entertainment Collectibles

  1. Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or Letter of Authenticity (LOA) by an approved authentication service or agency
  2. Clear images of the product
  3. If autographed, a clear image of the autograph and authentication sticker or label
If the product is marketed for children under 13 years of age:
  1. Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
  2. Test Report from a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) accredited laboratory
  3. Sample tracking label

Comics, Manga, and Magazines (New and Collectible Condition)

Sellers listing comics, manga, and magazines in new and collectible condition must meet the following requirements.

Documentation Requirements for Comics, Manga, and Magazines

The following is required for comics, manga, and magazines:
  1. Clear images of the product (stock photos are not acceptable)
  2. If autographed, a clear image of the autograph and authentication sticker or label
  3. ISBN, ISSN, JAN, or EAN (standard product identifiers)
  4. If no identifier is available, a COA or LOA from an approved authentication service or agency must be provided. If neither is available, the item cannot be sold.
If the product is graded, sellers must provide one of the following:
  1. Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or Letter of Authenticity (LOA) by an approved authentication service or agency. COA must be from one of the following:
    • Beckett Authentication
    • Certified Authentication Services (CAS)
    • Certified Guaranty Company (CGC)
    • Comic Book Certification Services (CBCS)
    • Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA)
  2. A security label or hologram provided by the seller of record. This must be accompanied by one of the following forms of verifiable documentation:
    • An individually numbered COA, LOA, or hologram that can be verified in a public online database
    • A copy of a contractual agreement between the seller and the personality following a private or public autograph appearance
    • Proof of a direct working relationship with the personality, studio, or an authorized representative
    • Proof of acquisition of an item used on set or during a performance from the personality’s estate, studio, or authorized representative
    • Exact photo proof showing the item being signed by the personality, with the signature or inscription matching the listing image

Coins and Currency Collectibles (Graded, Collectible Condition)

Coins and currency collectibles include coins and paper money offered as collectible items rather than for active monetary use. Only eligible sellers and creators may offer these products on TikTok Shop.
“Circulating” refers to coins or currency currently used as legal tender in everyday transactions.
Examples of Coins & Money Collectibles include, but are not limited to:
  • Graded, circulating US coins and currency
  • Ungraded, non-circulating US coins and currency
  • Bullion (graded or ungraded)
  • Non-circulating foreign coins and currency (graded or ungraded)
  • Publications such as price guides and hobby magazines
  • Supplies such as coin holders, cleaning products, and collection kits

Prohibited Products

  • Coins and currency that are ungraded and circulating
  • Foreign coins and currency that are circulating
  • Coins and currency listed for active monetary use rather than as collectible items (including raw or uncertified items)
  • Foreign currency, tokens, medals, or bullion bars/rounds intended for monetary use or investment purposes
  • Fantasy/novelty notes intended to resemble real currency, or non-U.S. monetary items with legal tender status
  • Counterfeit, replica, or misrepresented items

Documentation and Listing Requirements for Graded Coins & Money Collectibles

Sellers listing graded coins or currency must meet the following requirements:
  1. Items must be graded and authenticated by an industry-recognized grading service.
  2. The grading service, numeric grade, denomination, and certification number must match the slab.
  3. Clear images of the slab must be provided, including the certification number.
  4. Any material facts affecting collectibility must be disclosed (e.g., cleaning, toning, damage, environmental exposure).
  5. Listings clearly state that collectible items are not guaranteed investments.
Approved grading and authentication services include:
  • Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC)
  • Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS)
  • American Numismatic Association Certification Service (ANACS)
  • Independent Coin Grading Company (ICG)
  • Paper Money Guaranty (PMG)
  • Certified Acceptance Corporation (CAC)
  • International Coin Certification Service (ICCS)
  • Legacy Currency Grading
Listings referencing non-approved grading companies cannot be sold.

Antique Collectibles (Collectible Condition)

Antique Collectibles include items with historical, cultural, or decorative value produced in earlier time periods. Only eligible sellers may offer Antique Collectibles on TikTok Shop.Examples of Antique Collectibles include, but are not limited to:
  • Furniture, musical instruments, and sewing items (pre-1930)
  • Decorative arts (e.g., silver, tapestries, rugs, carpets)
  • Books, manuscripts, maps, and globes
  • Cultural, maritime, scientific, and medical artifacts
  • Architectural, garden, mercantile, and trade items
  • Restoration and care supplies for antiques

Prohibited Products

TikTok Shop prohibits the following:
  • Artifacts, archaeological items, or protected cultural heritage items that are restricted under applicable cultural property or heritage protection laws
  • "Antique-style” items made with modern craftsmanship
  • Forged or falsified items, including misrepresented provenance, age, or cultural origin

Requirements for Antique Collectibles

Sellers listing Antique Collectibles must:
  1. Provide real images of the item
  2. Accurately describe age, materials, and condition
  3. Clearly distinguish modern reproductions from genuine antiques
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements for the products they sell

Breaks

A "break" is when a sealed pack, box, or case of items is opened—typically during a livestream—and the contents are distributed to paying customers.
Offering breaks on TikTok Shop is limited to eligible sellers. You must also maintain a Shop Performance Score (SPS) ≥ 2.5.Only the following products are currently allowed:
  • Trading Cards
  • Memorabilia

Break Types You Can Offer

The following break types are allowed on TikTok Shop:
  • Personal Breaks
    • Customers purchase an entire pack, box, or case, which the seller then opens live on their behalf.
  • Pick Your Team/Type Breaks
    • Customers select the type of item they want, such as a team, player, division, or energy and claim those items matching their selection after the break is conducted live.
  • "Pull-Til-You-Win" Breaks
    • Customers select a specific item they want, usually a rare or high-value item like an autograph or trading card. You'll then open sealed products live until the item is pulled.
    • If the item target isn't pulled within the guaranteed minimum number of items, you must continue opening sealed items until it's opened.
    • All opened items are shipped to the customer.
    • Listings for "pull-til-you-win" breaks must clearly include the minimum pack guarantee in the title or variant.
All break types must be sealed and unmodified prior to the break.
Break livestreams are only allowed within the US.

Prohibited Break Types

The following break types are prohibited on TikTok Shop:
  • Random Card Breaks
  • Draft-Style Breaks
  • Bounties Breaks
Gambling activities are prohibited on TikTok Shop. This includes any form of randomized distribution where customers don't select a specific type of product. For more information, see Gambling Policy.

Prohibited Marketing Claims for Breaks

  1. Floor and Ceiling Value Claims
Sellers must not reference or imply specific item values, including:
  • Minimum values (e.g., “floor of $50,” “nothing less than…,” “minimum value guaranteed,” “there are no duds in this set”)
  • Maximum values (e.g., “ceiling of $500,” “worth up to…,” “potential value of…”)
  • Average or expected values (e.g., “average value $200,” “typical outcome is…”)
  • Value ranges (e.g., “$50–$500 range,” “between X and Y”)
  1. Scarcity and Opportunity Framing
Sellers must not present break items as rare opportunities, prizes, or investments, including:
  • Extremely rare or once-in-a-lifetime opportunities (e.g., “you’ll never see this again,” “rarest item available,” “one-of-a-kind chance,” “golden ticket”)
  • Prize-like acquisitions (e.g., “win the prize,” “grand prize item,” “jackpot card”)
  • Investment opportunities (e.g., “investment piece,” “will appreciate,” “hold value”)
  • Limited-availability claims that exaggerate rarity or exclusivity

Requirements for Breaks

These requirements apply to break listings, specifically those sold through live auctions or streaming events. Each listing must meet the following requirements to be eligible for sale.
  1. Product Category
Choosing the right category ensures your listing appears in search and filters. Break products must be from the same category. Select the most accurate category for your break:
  • Collectibles > Trading Cards and Accessories
    • Sports Trading Cards > Sports Card Breaks > Trading Card Breaks Only
    • Sports Trading Cards > Sports Card Breaks > Mixed Breaks
    • Non-Sports Trading Cards > Non-Sports Card Breaks
  • Collectibles > Memorabilia Breaks
    • Sports Collectibles > Memorabilia Breaks
    • Entertainment > Breaks
  1. Product Title
Titles must reflect the nature of the break. You can keep titles general—especially for live selling—or include more detail when appropriate.
  • Allowed Examples:
    • Live Auction Sports Trading Cards
    • Cards on the Screen – Mystery Pack Break
    • Pick Your Energy – Shrouded Fable ETB CASE BREAK (x90 Packs) (for memorabilia breaks)
You are not required to reference specific players, teams, or products in the title, but you may do so if relevant.
  1. Product Description
Your product description must give buyers enough information to understand what they’re purchasing. The level of detail can vary depending on the break type, but the following are required:
  • You must include:
    • The card or memorabilia type or category
      • Examples: sports, non-sport, pre-owned, mystery pack, repack
    • A general explanation of how the break works
      • Example: “Participants will receive cards pulled live based on selected energy type.”
      • Example: “Mystery repack cards will be revealed live and distributed to buyers post-break.”
  • Optional, but encouraged:
    • Mention general contents if known (teams, players, themes, styles, certification info)
      • Example: “This autographed bat is certified by Beckett, Fanatics, or JSA.”
      • Example: “Cards may include rookies and legends from major sports leagues.”
Detailed itemization of every card or memorabilia piece is not required, especially for live breaks.
  1. Product Images
Your images should help buyers identify the break. However, you are not required to show every individual card or item.
  • You may include:
    • Company or brand logos
    • Images of sealed products or break formats
    • Themed graphics that represent the type of break
  • You do not need to include:
    • Photos of each individual card or item shown during the break
    • Full inventory breakdowns
  1. Break Fulfillment Requirements
All break purchases must result in a physical product being shipped to the customer.
  • Every customer must receive at least one product for every break purchase.
  • Products shipped must come from the same category as the break.
    • Example: In a baseball trading card break, each buyer must receive at least one baseball trading card.
    • Example: In a helmet memorabilia break, each buyer must receive at least one helmet.

Customer Purchase Limits

  • Customers with fewer than 25 lifetime orders may purchase up to 8 Card Break items per day.
  • Customers who purchase 20 or more Card Break items in a day will have a 15-minute cool-off period before they can make additional purchases.

Enforcement Actions and Appeals

We regularly review your shop’s compliance with this document, our Restricted Products Policy, and our Gambling Policy. If violations are identified, we will take enforcement actions on your shop. This may include, but is not limited to:
  • Deducting points from your Account Health Rating
  • Removing product listings
  • Revoking your access to offer products for sale
  • Issuing refunds to customers
