Pesticides
A product may be considered a pesticide if it contains or is intended to use any substance or mixture of substances to:- Prevent, destroy, repel, or mitigate any pest
- Function as a plant regulator, defoliant, or desiccant
- Act as a nitrogen stabilizer

EPA Labeling Requirements
Pesticides regulated by the EPA must display specific information on their labels, including:- The EPA Registration Number and, when applicable, the EPA Establishment Number
- The active ingredients listed on the product label
- The child safety statement: “Keep Out of Reach of Children”
- Any other warnings or precautionary statements required by the EPA

Requirements To Sell Pesticides
You may be required to pass category qualification to sell Pesticides. This process requires submitting documents proving you are qualified to sell these products.Detailed requirements are listed in the sections below. Open each section to view what is needed.

If you are applying to sell pesticides or other products requiring an EPA label that you manufactured or imported, you may be required to submit the following:

- For electrical products, include:
- Product Electrical Safety Marking
- FCC Safety Marking, if the product includes Bluetooth or Wi-Fi functions
- Markings must be printed directly on the packaging or applied as a flat, non-peeling sticker as part of the assembled product.
- No double stickering allowed.
- Stickers must lie flat with no creases or peeling edges.
- Certification of Compliance or Conformity (COC) (for electrical products)
Manufacturers and importers may be required to submit a valid COC that meets the following requirements:- Issued within the last 2 years
- Matches the product category you intend to sell
- Clearly describes the tested product, including detailed specifications
- Tested to US EPA standards
- Includes the name and address of the accredited testing laboratory
- The product described in the report must match the product shown in the photos
Resellers
If you are applying to sell products that require an EPA label as a reseller, you may be required to submit the following documents:

When listing products in relevant categories, you will be asked:“Is your product a pesticide?”
- If Yes → You must provide the required EPA Registration and/or Establishment Numbers.
- If No → These fields are optional. Listings will still be reviewed for pesticide-related claims.
Steps to Listing Your Pesticides on TikTok Shop
You can add new pesticide products to your TikTok Shop using one of two methods: via Desktop or via the Seller Center App. Follow the steps below to provide the necessary pesticide compliance information.Method 1: Adding New Products via Desktop
- Log in to Seller Center. From the left-hand menu, click Manage Products.
- Click the "Add New Product" button.

- Fill in the Basic Information section.
- Complete all required fields (marked with an asterisk *).
- Enter product name, image, description, etc.

- Select your product category.

- If the category selected is likely a pest control product, you will be required to input pesticide compliance information.

- Fill in any optional product attributes (if applicable).

- Complete the product compliance questionnaire, which details pesticides:

- Click 'Publish for Review' once all fields are completed.

How do I submit my category qualification documentation?
Submit your documentation via the Qualification Center in Seller Center. Click here or follow these steps:

- Log into your Seller Center account.
- Click your shop icon in the top right corner.
- Go to My Account > Account Settings.
- Select Qualification Center.
- Click on Category Qualification.
- Click Add Category Authorization and follow the prompts to submit your application.

What do I do if my category qualification was rejected?
If your application is rejected, you’ll receive a message explaining the reason. Most rejections are due to missing documentation. Review this policy to make sure you’ve met all requirements. You can view your rejection message by:
- Clicking the bell icon at the top of your Seller Center homepage to go to your inbox
- Opening the rejected application in the Qualification Center.
- Go to the Qualification Center, then click Category Qualification.
- Click the rejected category to view the rejection reason.
- Review the related category policy to confirm what’s needed
- Update or replace your documentation to meet the category’s requirements.
- Click Resubmit to submit your revised application.
How can I register my pesticide product with the EPA?
Check the EPA website for details on registration of pesticides and pesticide devices. This includes a pesticide registration manual.
I submitted EPA registration, but my listing was rejected. What should I do?
If rejected, check that the information matches your product listing. Make sure it includes the correct brand name and product details.
