What is the Smart Promotion Program?

Currently, there are two modes：

• Smart Promotion（Based on Store-wide GMV）：Upon participation, a fixed percentage fee is charged based on the store's total GMV. The fee structure is transparent and predictable.
• Smart Promotion (Co-funded Promotion Mode）: The platform and the sellers co-fund discounts to boost GMV growth through methods like coupons and direct discounts. Discount orders incur a floating rate.

Relationship between the two: A single seller can only participate in one of the modes. Currently, almost all sellers have adopted the new Smart Promotion mode, with only a small fraction remaining in the Co-funded Promotion Mode.

How to Register for a Campaign That Requires Smart Promotion

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Access Campaign Registration Page
   • Navigate to the campaign registration page for major campaigns, weekly promotions, or Shoptab campaigns and locate the campaign that you would like to register for.
2. Smart Promotion Enrollment Prompt
   • If you're not enrolled in Smart Promotion, you'll see an "Ineligible" button and a requirement module that shows that your shop is not eligible to register for this campaign. Hovering over the "Ineligible" button will show you the reason as "Shop must registered into Smart Promotion/Smart Promotion(co-funded)."
     
   • Clicking on "View details" in the requirement module will navigate you to the "Criteria" section of the campaign detail page
     
   • Here, you will see the Smart Promotion you need to participate in to become eligible for the campaign. Click on the smart promotion program displayed under "Join program" to view program details and participate.
3. Complete Enrollment
   • Click the "Sign up" button to proceed to the purchase pop-up and click on "Confirm and next" to view final details, e.g., additional information such as the current service package, applicable fee rate, and if a fee exemption has been configured, the exempted fee rate will also be shown
   • Click "Confirm" again to complete enrollment successfully

4. View Smart Program details
   • When enrollment is complete, you will see a "sign up successful" message on the screen. You can click on "View plan details" to view the Smart Promotion program that you just enrolled to. You cna manage your program enrollment from the "Manage programs" tab on the "Smart Promotion" page.
5. Registering for the campaign post Smart Promotion enrollment
   • Once you have successfully enrolled in the required Smart Promotion program, you will become eligible to register for the campaign. You can click on the "register products" button to begin registration for the campaign. You will also see your shop criteria showing a check mark for the "Join program" requirement of the campaign.

Please note: If you opt out of Smart Promotion Program while participating in a campaign, you will no longer receive any campaign-related marketing resources during the campaign period.
