Household Appliances are classified as restricted products on TikTok Shop. To sell them, you will need to go through TikTok Shop's Category Qualification process, which requires submitting the necessary documentation.
Only sellers who pass Category Qualification can sell Household Appliances on TikTok Shop. Following these guidelines will help you successfully complete this process and ensure a smooth selling experience.

Requirements for Selling General Electronic Appliances

This section outlines the specific requirements for selling items such as:

• Steam Oven
• Grill
• Electric Kettle

If you are a manufacturer or importer, submit these documents:

• Certificate of Compliance (COC)
• An image of the product or packaging containing Electrical Safety Markings and FCC Safety Markings, if applicable

If you are a reseller, submit these documents:

• Purchase invoice
• An image of the product or packaging containing Electrical Safety Markings and FCC Safety Markings, if applicable

Certificate of Compliance (COC)

Manufacturers or importers must provide a Certificate of Compliance (COC). This must include the following information:

• Issued within the last 2 years
• Matches the product category you intend to sell
• Contains a clear description and details of the product which has been tested
• Lists all safety standards tested
• Contains the name and address of the accredited laboratory that conducted the testing
• Ensure the product described in the report matches the product photos

Purchase Invoice

Resellers will need to submit a purchase invoice for your products that were issued by the manufacturer. The purchase invoice must include below information:

• Supplier's company name and address
• Invoice must be legible
• Invoice must be issued within 365 days
• The product shown on the invoice must match the product category that will be listed on the TikTok Shop
• The invoice must be in English

Product or Packaging Image

Manufacturers, importers, and resellers must provide an image of the product or packaging showing the valid Product Electrical Safety Marking and FCC Safety Marking (if the product has a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi function).

• A sticker or embossed safety marking on the product are both acceptable
• The safety marking can be printed directly on the packaging or as an applied sticker
  • No double stickering is allowed
  • The affixed label must be on the packaging as part of the assembled product
  • The sticker must lay flat against packaging with no creases and/or edges peeling off

Certification from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)

Manufacturers or importers must provide a Certification of DOT that is clear and free from alterations. This must include the following information:

• Supplier's name and address
• Issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
• Date of submission is not past the expiration date stated on the certification
• Matches the product category you intend to sell
• Clear description that the product to be transported contains carbon dioxide
• The certification must be in English

Product Test Report or Certification by a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-Accredited Laboratory

Manufacturers or importers must submit a product test report or certification issued by a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-accredited laboratory (list of CPSC-approved laboratories).
When submitting your test report, make sure it is legible, free from alterations, and meets the following requirements:

• Supplier's name and address
• Issued by a recognized by a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-accepted laboratory
• Issued in the past 2 years
• Matches the product category you intend to sell
• Contains a clear description and details of the product to be transported
• The report must be in English

• Estimated yearly energy used by the product
• Cost range of similar product models
• Estimated yearly energy cost for the product, and
  • Place the cost of your product at the appropriate location along the range
• Any other model-specific information for your particular model on the label

Requirements for Selling Household Appliances that Require the EPA Label

In addition to the requirements listed to sell general electronic appliances, manufacturers, importers, or resellers must provide an image of the product or packaging showing the EPA label that contains the:

• EPA Establishment Number, and
• Company name and address

How to Submit Your Documents

Submit the required documents through Qualification Center in Seller Center by clicking here or following the steps below.
Desktop:

1. Log into your TikTok Seller Center account.
2. Click on your shop icon at the top right side of the screen.
3. Go to My Account > Account Settings.
4. Select Qualification Center.
5. Click on Category Qualification.
6. Click on Add Category Authorization and follow the prompts to submit your application.
