- Non-compliance can lead to penalties such as fines, product or shop delisting, violation points, or even account deactivation under TikTok Shop’s enforcement policies.
- Sellers must submit accurate SDS documentation within a 90-day grace period if their product is already listed and classified as Dangerous Goods.
How can sellers determine if their product is classified as Dangerous Goods and where can they obtain the required Safety Data Sheets (SDS)?
- Sellers should check the product’s SDS or UN38.3 lithium battery test document, which details hazard classifications; these can be obtained from manufacturers, suppliers, or third-party labs for homemade products.
- Dangerous Goods include items like lithium batteries, aerosols, and household cleaners, categorized under nine hazardous material classes defined by the Department of Transportation.
What are the benefits of declaring Dangerous Goods correctly on TikTok Shop?
- Proper declaration ensures compliance with federal and international regulations (IATA, FAA, DOT), reducing risks during shipping and handling.
