To help you improve your product's visibility and provide richer information to customers, TikTok Shop has introduced two new fields for product listings: Search keywords and Product highlights. Adding information to these fields helps our search system better understand your products, improving how they are matched with customer searches.

What are Search keywords?

Search keywords are keywords that you can add to your product listing to improve its discoverability. Think of them as backend keywords that describe your product.

Why use Search keywords?

  • Improve your SEO: Search keywords are a powerful tool for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The keywords you provide are used directly by our search engine to help your products appear in more relevant search results.
  • Supplement your product title: Product titles have character limits, but Search keywords do not have the same restrictions. You can add extra details, synonyms, or related phrases that don't fit in the title.
  • Not visible to customers: Search keywords are for internal use only and are not displayed to customers. This allows you to be more flexible and creative with the keywords you use.

How to add Search keywords

  1. On the product listing page, find the Search keywords section directly below the product title.
  2. Enter relevant keywords that describe your product. You can add multiple terms.
  3. You can also use the smart suggestions provided by the system. These recommendations are based on your product's category and attributes. You can choose to adopt the suggestions as-is or edit them to better fit your product.

What are Product highlights?

Product highlights are short, bulleted highlights that summarize your product's main selling points. They appear on the product detail page as Product highlights.

Why use Product highlights?

  • Showcase key selling points: This feature allows you to prominently display your product's most important features and benefits, giving customers a quick and clear overview. This information is displayed in the Product highlights section on the product detail page.
  • Improve your SEO: The Product highlights you provide can help your products appear in more relevant search results and make them more discoverable.

How to add Product highlights

  1. On the product listing page, scroll down to the Product highlights section.
  2. Add concise, benefit-oriented bullet points that summarize your product's core value. Aim for 3-5 key features.
  3. The system may provide smart suggestions based on your product's description. You can adopt these suggestions directly or edit them to better reflect your product's selling points.
