Size Chart Quality Diagnostic Tool

Introduction

Size charts are essential for shoes and apparel products and play a vital role in a customer's decision to buy. To ensure that size charts are accurate and reliable—and to improve the overall shopping experience—we are launching a real-time diagnostic and error reporting feature. It will appear when editing existing products and when modifying size chart templates. We strongly recommend sellers to resolve any flagged issues to avoid potential customer disputes after a sale.

Diagnostic Rules

1. Missing Required Measurement: Each product category has mandatory size measurements (e.g., height, weight, Bust). Your size chart should include all required measurements for that category.

2. Out-of-Range Values: The platform validates size values against reasonable ranges. You will receive an alert if any value appears unrealistic.

3. Variation Coverage: If your product has multiple size variations, the size chart must include data for every variation listed.

Diagnostic Scenarios

Product Editing (Single Item)

1. Size Chart: When editing an existing product, the system will scan the size chart. If any issue is detected, an error notification will appear—even if you haven't changed the size chart itself. You must either correct the errors ,or manually dismiss them to successfully publish your updates.

2. Size Chart Image: Similarly, the system will check your size chart images during the editing process. If an issue is detected, you will see an error below the image section. You must either correct the error or dismiss it to successfully publish your updates.

Bulk Editing (Excel)

1. Size Chart: If issues are found during an Excel bulk upload for existing products, a diagnostic error will be generated after the file is processed. To fix this, download the error file and follow the instructions to update the size chart template. Alternatively, you can select a reason for the error in the "Size Chart Wrong Diagnosis Type" column to bypass the block.

2. Size Chart Image: For issues related to size chart image in an Excel upload, you must either update the image URLs or select an error reason in the "Size Chart Wrong Diagnosis Type" column. Submissions with unresolved errors will be blocked.
