You can easily spot TikTok-funded promotions directly in the TikTok app.
Whenever TikTok covers part of the customer discount, you’ll see special icons across key shopper surfaces:

• Product Detail Page (PDP)
• LIVE Shopping Bag
• Showcase
• Shopping Cart
• Other customer-facing pages

These icons help highlight added value to shoppers, making your products more noticeable and appealing during peak traffic moments.

Types of TikTok-funded promotions

During major promotional events, TikTok offers several types of TikTok-funded discounts. This helps create stronger visibility and makes it easier for shoppers to spot great deals.
Each promotion type includes:

• A unique icon
• Clear placements across key surfaces (PDP, LIVE Shopping Bag, Showcase, etc.)
• Messaging that lets shoppers know TikTok is contributing to the discount

Product Coupons

Product Coupons let you offer shoppers a percentage off (X% off) or a fixed amount off ($X off) when they meet your minimum purchase requirement. These coupons can be stacked with your other seller promotions, giving customers even more incentive to buy while helping you create more compelling offers across your shop.

Product Incentives

TikTok Shop also funds exclusive product discounts that appear with a “HOT DEAL” icon.
We may also create product discounts tailored to specific content types or shopper groups, which appear with tags such as:

• LIVE Exclusive
• New Customer Deal
• Other event- or audience-specific labels

These labels help customers understand when a product has an additional condition or is part of a special event.
Important: TikTok-funded Product Incentives do not stack with your Flash Deal promotions.
If both are applied to the same product, only the Flash Deal price will appear to the customer.

Buy More, Save More promotions give customers a discount when they meet specific purchase requirements—such as “buy 2 items, get 20% off” or “spend $100, get $20 off.” This helps encourage shoppers to add more to their cart in a single order. Once the conditions are met, this promotion can be used alongside all of your other seller promotions.

Shipping Fee Discounts

TikTok-funded Shipping Fee Discounts give customers free shipping or a reduced shipping fee on eligible orders at checkout. These discounts can be used together with all of your other promotions. When the shipping fee is calculated, the TikTok-funded portion is applied first. If any shipping cost remains afterward, your shop will cover the balance.

How to Withdraw from TikTok Shop-funded Promotions?

Step 1: Go to Seller Center -> Marketing -> TikTok-funded programStep 2: Review the current promotions funded by TikTok. If you're satisfied with the existing settings, no further action is required.
Step 3: To opt out of a promotion type, toggle the switch next to that promotion and confirm your choice.
Each promotion type must be updated individually. Set the toggle to off, then confirm your selection.

1: If I withdraw from a given type of TikTok-funded promotion, such as Product Coupon, am I withdrawn from only one promotion event or from all events of that promotion type?A: If you withdraw from a given type of TikTok-funded promotion, you will be withdrawn from all future promotion events of that specific type.
2: Can I withdraw only certain items from TikTok funded promotions?A: No, currently you are unable to withdraw only certain items from TikTok funded promotions. If you withdraw, all your items will be excluded from that type of promotion.
3: If I withdraw from TikTok-funded promotions, can I rejoin in the future?A: Yes, you can rejoin if you change your mind.
4: What happens to products with TikTok-funded promotions when I withdraw? A: Any discounts and promotional displays, such as banners and tags, related to the type of TikTok-funded promotion from which you withdraw will be invalidated and made invisible to customers almost instantaneously. Frequent changes to your participation status will cause fluctuations to the price seen by customers. These inconsistencies may result in issues during check out. Please use caution!
5: What is the difference between TikTok-funded promotions and campaigns? What happens if I withdraw from TikTok-funded promotions while registered in a campaign event?"Campaigns" as used here refers to the Campaigns module in the Seller Center. If you are registered for a campaign (i.e. Black Friday) in the Campaigns module, but withdraw from TikTok funded promotions, you will still be eligible for the other non-promotional benefits (i.e. Traffic boost).
6: If I withdraw from TikTok-funded promotions, will it affect my own promotions that are set up in the Seller Center?A: Opting out of TikTok-funded promotions will not affect your own promotions.
7: If a customer places an order with coupons but decides to cancel the order or return the product(s) after receipt, can Product Coupons be returned to them?A: As long as it is not expired, product coupons can be returned to customers when orders are cancelled or a full refund has been made.
8: If customers use a TikTok-funded promotion, where can I find the amount of the discount for an order?A: You can check settlement breakdowns in the Statements option under Finances in the Seller Center navigation menu.
