All TikTok orders sent to Shopify will initially be in an 'On hold' status and should not be fulfilled in the first 1 hour after order placement. Once the 1 hour period elapses, orders will more to an 'Unfulfilled' status on Shopify.

If an order in an 'On hold' status is fulfilled through ShipStation in the first 1 hour, order status will not be updated on TikTok Shop successfully. For that reason, for sellers and merchants fulfilling orders on Shopify through ShipStation, we recommend the following actions:

  • Fulfill orders in ShipStation manually from TikTok
    • Check if an order is in the 'Unfulfilled' status on Shopify. If so that order is safe to fulfill
    • Check if an order is in the 'On hold' status on Shopify. If so do not fulfill that order on ShipStation, and wait for the order status to change to 'Unfulfilled'
