TikTok for Shopify has launched a new feature to simplify handling free sample orders as $0 transactions. This integration facilitates seamless management of sample orders, encompassing accounting, fulfillment, and tax calculations. Please note: free sample orders will only apply to orders received after 3/19/24.

• Free sample TikTok Shop orders will now sync to the Shopify admin as $0. Previously, these orders were synced to the Shopify admin with the full product value, which made the accounting process more manual.
• Sellers can reference a 'Free sample' order tag to ensure that their sample orders in Shopify are correctly processed and easily identified.
  • Order is sent to Shopify with a 100% item price discount, to achieve $0 order total.
  • Discount is displayed as 'Free Sample'.
  • Discount applies to regular Shopify product pricing, resulting in a $0 total.
